Yet it sounded extreme, but what I meant was:

"unless we know both well we will not be ale to see similarities or
differences."

The Adwaitee stance is only one of the 7 (6 + 1 = 7 ) Indian
philosophies, the 7th being that which comprehends and adjusts them all:
THEOSOPHY -- the Sanatana Dharma (the Eternal doctrine).

Am I wrong?

[ Theosophy is a statement of facts in Nature. As a philos-
ophy it is eclectic and includes all in its purview.
It investigates all phenomena, and relates those obser-
vations to its lore, constantly checking and verifying
independent observations, and comparing those with the
records of the past.

[Theosophy is the combination of all of these, considered in
their interrelation, the entire system of learning
and knowledge leading to all-inclusiveness. It is the
7th System: Sanatana Dharma, which unites them all.

Mote: Modern versions of the Upanishads, owing to
abridgments in Akbar's reign may be inaccurate.

Dear Jerome,

You may well be right, I’ve not come across anything that de Zirkoff
offers
to support his view, though until the other day I did not know he helf
that
view, so I have not looked. Let’s keep an open mind for the time being
in
case something comes to light.

My main reason for offering the Subba Row material, especially what HPB
and
the Master K.H. have to say about him, was to question the statement
that
‘we should first read Theosophy before reading Subba Rows works.’

Peter
