The Wisdom of Ian Stewart

by alden_parent

Hello again,

In his essay entitled Mathematics in 2050;
Ian claims the following:

That the computer will be able to surpass the
mathematical proof method. That math proof will be
made obsolete by the power of the computer.
I'm affraid the math proof method is way ahead
of him & the computer. There is math proof in existance
even today that the computer came into being by the
number and it will die by the number. Not to mention
computers will never have the capability of both
intuition & distinguishing subtleties. Lets say
it's only one composite number away to extinction!
