Dear Friend:

You comment on "esoteric truths."

Why are ISIS UNVEILED and the SECRET DOCTRINE not studied and better
known? And the whole volume of THEOSOPHICAL literature?

They form the doorway to that "esotericism" underlying all exoteric
religions and theogonies.

But unless studied they remain -- ESOTERIC.

Each one has to discover and use them for themselves. No one can
"convince" anyone else of their veracity or practicality.

But ;people generally focus on the psychic, and "what can it do for me
selfishly," and that is the opposite of true "esotericism."

In a word "esotericism" is knowledge and practice of BROTHERHOOD.

If there are any barriers, then look within the mind, there they may be
detected.

Sorry if this sounds either mystical or "authoritative." Long study
and careful attention to events show that THEOSOPHY does offer what
nothing else does.

It offers a view of the universe, of independence and of immortality
that very few grasp and see as essential to a grasping of TRUTH.

I see you have been asking yourself about knowledge and "fear."

Is not "fear" ignorance? If so, then it is dispelled by knowledge ?

In Theosophical psychology we would say "fear" is instinctual and
pertains to the psychic nature. It is quite different from knowledge
which is of the mental nature. Theosophy views the Mind as superior to
instinct. Hence fear is banished by understanding.

Man, being a composite of a Mind using a well developed animal body, has
those instincts (including fear) as part of his "nature."

The general problem with humanity (as I see it) at this stage in its
evolution, is to supplant instinct with understanding. [Supplanting is
not eliminating, but rather controlling and subduing.] Each one can do
this for themselves.

The change starts with perceiving a need for such an alteration of
attitude and consideration. It then passes into the realm of "will."
There it becomes a volition, and thus the Mind being disciplined, it
proceeds with the acquisition of knowledge and the testing of that
information practically.

It is not a "gift." But speaking about it, and offering solutions is --
those may open doors to the inner thinking of any other person. But that
is already part of the student attitude -- the desire to learn and to
KNOW.

Best wishes,

Dallas.

Dear friends,

If truth is esoteric in any religion;
Why has it not been completely discovered? Why
was Pythagoras not able to accomplish more? In
the "Wisdom Religion" which theosophists seek and
adhere to; Why is there an ocean of absorbtion but
no complete truth, only fragments? Which is greater
Wisdom or Truth? Is either or both a gift and does
it belong only to the complex in mind, or to the
mearest and simplest. Who can claim Truth & Wisdom
as there own, some or all? I would be careful in
saying only "some", because it could turn out to be
a Lie and not Truth, or Wise.
Truth and Wisdom have no room for Ego, and
thats the Truth !
