That's not bad. It reminds me of my first experience with the 
opening of this knot. It is not a knot, but as DK and AAB say it is 
the opening or the reversal of the chakra. And certain chakras hold 
the memory of past lives. I personally believe, from experience that 
it is the heart chakra which "knots up in a tight bundle" all the 
experiences from life to life. And they are unwrapped a the heart 
chakra unfolds during any one given life time. 

This would account for an uneven opening or understanding or full 
retrun and recall of past memories. But that does not mean it is 
really all one or that we shrink down to one chakra when we die, and 
everything in terms of memory of the DNA which we "own" is recalled 
and thus the reason that many people look remarkably alike in life 
after life. Many people seem to overlook, no pun intended, that one.
