Re: Theos-World death frightens

Don't be concerned about dying.

The Plan evidently takes this in account, and it is not too bad.

Years ago, I was involved in a motorcycle accident that broke the
larynx, and tore one vocal cord loose, blocking the airway. It was
Very difficult to breathe. There was a loud rattling sound as I took a
breath. The area was numb, and it didn't hurt, but it was
uncomfortable.

I was not too far from a hospital, and soon an ambulance was there and
transported me to an emergency room.

As I was lying in the emergency room, they had a monitor on me, and it
was about 40 minutes after the accident, I was going to sleep, I
guess. My eyes were shut, and I was just concentrating on breathing.
It was terribly difficult to breathe, and I guess I wasn't getting
enough oxygen.

Everything was black, but it didn't hurt any. All of a sudden, I felt
a couple of pin pricks on my throat ( it seemed way off in the
distance) where the neck joins the body. Someone there in the distance
said "Breathe Dennis", and I tried to breathe, and it seemed extremely
easy to take a breath.

They said that the monitor had informed them that I had stopped
breathing, and they hurriedly opened a hole in my throat below the
injury, and for a couple of weeks, I breathed from that hole, while
the injury healed. They took me into the operating room, and
reattached the vocal cord, and fixed the broken larynx, and it took a
couple of weeks to heal.

I was just going to sleep, and it was extremely peaceful, and
comfortable. I was not aware that I had stopped breathing, and the
voice of the doctor came as something of a surprise. I will never fear
death again. It was almost pleasant.

Don't worry. Dying is easy, it is living this life that is difficult.

Dennis
