The title "secret: refers to the fact that the book is written in
such a way that hardly anybody who reads it understands it. The
first part of the book is very profound but tha latter part merely
requires more study than most are willing to put into it. Blavatsky
admutted that in a magazine article. So even though it is published,
it is still "secret" in a sense.

As to why this would be desirable, that is a secret to me. I have
yet to find out.
