The subject of female masters and why there appear to none to speak of has arisen several times at our TS meetings. A brief survey of the archives here has not thrown up any discussion on this matter so I am curious to know what others think about the almost total absence of females from the lineup of known masters.
Perhaps it is because the Adepts can choose in which bodies they are to incarnate, and they choose the most useful bodies for their purposes, and, until extremely recently in history, women were extremely limited by the cultures in which they lived in what they could do?

Alternatively, as the Adepts have to join together and work together as one, having a female in their numbers might be too distracting (which brings up the possibility of groups consisting entirely of women; for all we know, they exist).
