The matter of the relationship between the Protocols and HPB and other
Theosophists is discussed fully in James Webb's "The Occult Establishment" pp
213-267.
While HPB herself never endorsed the Protocols, there were a number of
individuals close to her involved in promoting them and they were not above
rewriting her words after her death to make her look like she endorsed their views.
