Dear Friends:

RE: PREJUDICE, RACISM, etc...

In my study of THEOSOPHY I find that the prime ideas (also ideals) are:

1.	BROTHERHOOD,

2.	JUSTICE AND LAW,

3.	MUTUAL ASSISTANCE,

4.	THE PURSUIT OF PERFECTION IN ALL AREAS OF LIFE.

5.	KARMA and REINCARNATION are the methods NATURE uses to do this.

I repeat: It is my own conviction that: --

The SPIRITUAL SOUL of all humans has no race, sex, creed, or any other
limitation except those which their past KARMA has arranged for.

So why should I worry much over the diverse statements and apparent
attitudes of others who think that our present "race" and "heredity"
are of importance? We all know of persons who do not fit the prejudiced
patterns of characterizations that have been foisted on individuals born
in circumstances other than ours. We need to examine our mental
furniture, and our attitudes for any prejudices of any kind that are
not supported by sound reason.

Their present situation: birth, color, religion, education are in some
cases pre-determined, and in other cases as time passes, they are
modified by the efforts, impacts and the resulting decisions (choices)
persons put into their own ideas of living and the ideals they select
for their future development.

If you think that you live only a single life, then you behave very
selfishly.

If you consider that you are an immortal, and this present life is only
a short stage in a vast unfolding and developing panorama for your
future, your decisions take on a more universal far-reaching,, and
perhaps more compassionate and impersonal outlook. We need to look at
the facts that NATURE has surrounded us with. What is our situation?
What are our talents and failings? How do we recognize the difference?

As I see it, The whole purpose of evolution is to universalize and
impersonalize our own selves by self-effort It is a moral struggle.
No one else can do that for us. Nor are any of us in any position to
condemn or prejudge others. We have enough trouble with our own biases
and failures in compassion. Yet, we also have as a duty, as among
brothers who are eternally related, to assist whenever we are asked or
whenever the opportunity arises.

If we reject the concept of such an inter-relation we have failed to see
how our own present bodies are sustained by the continual provision and
exchange of atoms and molecules that sustain and maintain its health,
and progress.

We all need to find out how and why NATURE has provided us with such
support. Do we deserve it? Do we accept it and give it no further
thought? Why?

Best wishes,

Dallas

>In any case, UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD is prime object of THEOSOPHY. It is

Dallas, is it then logical to be concluded from your statement above
that
from the theosophical point of view a race which claims to be superior
over
other races PER SE is a wrong conviction? Does Theosopyh teach teach
that
all races are equal? Or does Theosophy teach that one race after another
has
its ups and downs and therefore suceed one another from time to time?
And if
so, which time do we have now?
One theosophical school teaches that we are now in the fifth subrace,
while
another theosophical teaches that we are not in the fifth subrace. The
one
may be regarded as the lower vehicle and the other as the higher
vehicle,
or: the struggle between esoteric and exoteric Theosophists.
It is a well known fact among historicans that Jewish groups proclaim
since
twohundred or so years Universal Brotherhood.
Does this phrase has the same content as the theosophical phrase of
Universal Brotherhood?
And if so, why f.e. Gottfried de Purucker dropped this phrase in 1929
from
the first aim of his TS?
And if the Jewish and Aryan phrases of UB differ:
How can Theosophy help to distinct one from the other?
