The TS Masters speaking post-HPB

Following on from Paul Johnson's posting [Theos-World Re: where are the
"Masters"?
Sent: 27/3/20]:

Paul is correct: I asked Radha Burnier (then OH ES but not yet PTS) when
direct communication with the Masters had ceased. She said it was with
the death of George Arundale. Certainly, I have copies of ES publications
in which Arundale claims contact with the Masters, and there is a small
TPH, Adyar brochure in which Arundale "passes on" the text of a message
he says he received directly from the Masters (and from a post-mortem
Annie Besant). The high point (?) of communication with the Masters for
Adyar theosophy was clearly the Besant-Leadbeater era.
However, a senior ES official in Australia, Ian Hooker, told me such
communication continued until Sri Ram's death.
The last "official" Adyar communication I have seen is in an ES
publication suggesting Jinarajadasa certainly and Sri Ram probably laid
claim to direct communication with the Masters. Obviously, Geoffrey
Hodson claimed direct communication with (and teachings and messages
from) the Masters well after Sri Ram and detailed these in his
autobiography. It is unclear what position Adyar takes on Hodson's
claims. He "introduces" a range of Masters other than than traditional TS
list.
I have never been able to obtain an explanation for the break in
communication.
