Alfred Taylor and Albert Einstein

Jerry,

I am pursuing the Taylor-Einstein connection and
hope to have some preliminary results in the next
week.

In your latest email, you write:

==================================================
The only (in my opinion) credible first hand witness
to an Einstein-Theosophy connection whom I have ever
met was Dr. Taylor.
=====================================================

In light of that statement, could you give readers
here on Theos-Talk some details about what
Dr. Taylor told you about Einstein's
"enthusiasm" for H.P.B.'s THE SECRET DOCTRINE?

In other words, could you expand on the subject-matter
of those discussions you had with Dr. Taylor?

Also any additional information you can provide may help to
undercover additional evidence about this connection.

I quote again your previous comments that sparked
our initial discussion on this aspect of the Einstein-SD
connection:

===================================================
For whatever it is worth, my first encounter
with the Einstein-Secret Doctrine connection was
through the late Alfred Taylor. Dr. Taylor was
at the time the director of Krotona school. According
to Taylor, Einstein was his long time personal friend.
Since, the great mathematician was always sort of a
hero figure to me, I especially delighted in broaching
the subject. So Dr. Taylor and I discussed
Einstein on several occasions. More than once Taylor
described Einstein's enthusiasm for the Secret Doctrine
which, Taylor said, Einstein referred to as his "bedtime
reading."
=================================================

I believe it is important to try to document this if
at all possible. I say that in light of what one
Einstein scholar wrote me:

==================================================
I am rather sure that the whole story is fake and neither the
person/niece, nor the book with Einstein's notes ever existed.
==================================================
