Dear P.

I am not going to take any position on literal translations of any kind or
by any one. I know for my own self, using several languages with ease, how
difficult it is to place an exact translation into another tongue. 

As to the material HPB and the Masters have provided us.

I frame my own opinions based on the universal nature of the qualities and
information offered. That, I can study correlate, analyse and develop
confidence in. The logic is to me always illuminating and not controversial.

When I get involved in sectarian opinions it becomes a fruitless waste of
time because the MEANINGS are lost in the words used. 

Arguments do not invoke wisdom. Wisdom is that which (to me as I would
express it) soothes and harmonizes the understanding. And one of the
greatest gifts of all is the reconciliation of divergent attitudes and
positions.

Dear Dallas:

Does you statement above also apply to HPB's translation of "The 
Voice of the Silence" and of the Stanzas of Dzyan in "The Secret 
Doctrine"?

If not, how do you know they are faithful translations of the 
originals?
