1881 Objects of the Society

Just something I've come across regarding the Objects of the society
as they were revised in 1881 especialy in regard to the discussion
we've had on the importance of comparison, in paricular the 3rd of
these objects :

1.To form the Nucleus of a Universal Brotherhood of Humanity

2.To study Aryan literature, religion and science

3.To vindicate the importance of this enquiry and correct
misrepresentations with which it has been clouded.

4.To explore the hidden mysteries mysteries of nature and the latent
powers of Man,on which the founders beleive Oriental Philosophy is in
a position to throw light.

The 3rd of these object was probably refering to the
"misreprentations" given by the Christians and perhaps by the
Spiritualists but could have had wider inplications.
Does anyone have any comments on this

Perry
