RE: Homophobia

I have been studying the Gnostic sects and their modern recrudesence
in the OTO, and find that the practice of "spermophagia" was extant
among them both. While that is hardly homsexuality--in fact some in
the OTO considered homosexuality to be "decadent"--it does prove that
there are vastly more secrets to the gnosis than meets the eye. Even
the ancient gnostics practised this rite, and it can be found in such
modern works as the "Gnostic Scriptures" which are available in
nearly every bookstore. I remember reading once in an "American
Theosophist" circa 1979, that there was an article in which a wife
told a man who overate to just "stick your penis in your mouth" for
satisfaction. This is available for those who want to look it up.
It made a lot Theosophists of the time very astonished and resulted
in a good deal of bad press in the Theosophical community. Yes,
sexuality is a very strong part of the esteric message whether we
prudes like it or not, and it's time for the Gay and Lesbian Brothers
and Sisters to be let "out of the closet." (I'm not Gay, but
empathize with those who are. I defended in Court, to no avail, for
a Lesbian mother to get her children back from the State in Missouri,
when I was a Social Worker. I was considered a "hostile witness"
even though I knew that it was the right thing to do.)
