Hi Katinka and Paul;

True scholarship lies in complete references.

Kind regards,

Theo

Hi Paul and Theo,

Personally I loved the book. Also one has but to open it on a random
page to find sources. Some of the sources that were criticised were
mentioned in the book, only the name of the person who found them was
missing. In that case a historian could easily find the relevant
article, even though the reference could have been more complete.

It really takes someone of Deveney's stature to find mistakes in it.

Katinka
