Lets take a curious fact that has just come t
my attention.

In 1919 the THEOSOPHICAL UNIVERSITY PRESS in
Adyar issued the 1st series of
LETTERS FROM THE MASTERS OF WISDOM, Ed.
By Jinarajadasa.

If we compare the letters as printed there
with the text that is offered in
the CD "THEOSOPHICAL CLASSICS" from our brothers
at the T P H in Manila, we
find that apparently some material was left
out in the little book. Shall we
assume that the Manila edition is more complete?

One needs to exercise such caution and attention
there.

Dallas, you must remember that the 1919 ed. was the
first edition.

In one or two of the later editions, C. Jinarajadasa
included more letters from the Masters.

Also in several instances in the 1919 ed.
he had given abridged versions of the letters.
Also leaving out several persons names who may
have still been alive in 1919. In later editions
he decided to give the complete version and
give the names.

So yes, the Manila edition is more complete.

Also students should be aware that Mr. Jinarajadasa
gave facsimiles of many of these letters in
his book DID MADAME BLAVATSKY FORGE THE MAHATMA LETTERS?
and also in various issues of THE THEOSOPHIST especially
in the 1930s.

I hope this clear up some of the confusion.
