Fine, but I have one further suggestion: no "calling out" listmembers
by posting challenges to them with their names in the header. A much
larger discussion forum I belong to has this rule and enforces it
consistently, and it seems to help the atmosphere. It's an aggressive
tactic that promotes a contentious atmosphere, and recently it has
descended to a new and dehumanizing level. (Of course it's OK to add
a note "reply to John" to make it clear who's being addressed.)
Not to mention that, when the topic drifts, people's names get
associated with things they had nothing to do with. Good point, Paul.
