Thanks to everybody and especially to Erica, Steve, John, Pedro and
Dallas for taking an interest and replying to my post. I forwarded the
first replies to Mary but was not really sure whether she had got it.
I just read her email and saw that she had and have sent her the rest
of your replies.

Here is part of her message:

My dear Ana Maria,

First, I am so sorry that you father died so recently. I do not know
of Theosophist I am ashamed to say. I am still ignorant of so many
things. But I do know you must have great love for your fellow humans
to be so kind and loving and send such responses. I gave George all
the information that your two friends passed on to me. He was
overwhelmed by the love and caring that came to him. I gave him your
frined'sphone number in Greece. I hope he willl lst long enough to use
it. I also gave him the other number for the medical research. His
family can call and they have the ability to fly him back if there is
some hope. I too will keep that number for future patients I meet.

I would like to hear if you ever have the time about Theosophy. If it
helps create hearts like yours it must be wonderful.

I send my heartfelt graditude back to you.And my embrace from New
York. You too are a wonderful soul.

with love,
Mary

Thanks so much, Internet, for allowing us to remember any moment that
we are part of that cosmic net and that we are all One. American
people getting to a Greek man through somebody Spanish, all in a
matter of hours. That helps me realize that words (American, Greek,
Spanish...) are just useful labels but nothing else.

But Mary's message is also especially relevant to me because, even if
it might be out of courtesy, she shows some interest in this thing
called "Theosophy", from a process coming from the other end. I have
never been good at preaching or making speeches, but I think another
good way to spread the teachings is to act accordingly, in such a way
that Theosophy can be known "for its own deeds". (oh, I don't know,
even what I have just written here sounds now preaching to me ;-)

A big hug to you all,
ana
