Alice Bailey & the Adyar Society

Hello All,
In my quest to actually try to understand and get a feel for where the
Adyar TS is trying to take itself.
I am wondering if there are any writers that the Adyar Society would
not promote.

The impression I get from what I've seen on some of the postings is
that they don't want the original teachings (HBP & the Mahatma's) to
be the only teachings studied and promoted in the society as being
theosophy.
But would rather promote many and varied different writers
interpretations of what theosophy is and not focus only on any one
kind of "source" teachings.
If this is a principled stand then I can respect the principle.

One thing I noticed on the reading list I posted the link for earlier,
was that it did not contain any writings by Alice Bailey.

Does the society see these as inappropriate to promote on its reading
lists?

Would Alice Bailey book study groups be allowed in the Adyar society?

If not I am curious to know what the rational might be and how that
fits in with defining what is and isn't appropriate material to be
officially promoted by the Society in line with its principles on not
defining theosophical teachings.

Bailey's writings are almost identical to C.W Leadbeater's in many
respects.

I know this is another can of worms but I am genuinely trying to find
the logic and principled stand that is being used by the Adyar TS and
check it's consistency.

I know the libraries in most lodges contain the Bailey writings but I
have never seen them promoted on official Adyar Society pamphlets or
reading lists, as far as I know.

Can anyone shine some light on this?

Perry
