I recall that the fundamental objective of theosophy is to basically change 
human beings for the better. I recall HPB writing about this. Such being 
the case, I see no problem with self transformation/human regeneration. 
However if others have different interests it is ok. Hopefully one day all 
of us would be transformed to be better human beings which in turn will 
affect the world.
