Krishnamurti and TS(adyar) members

Krishnamurti is the 800 lb gorilla present in the living room of theosophists, especially in India. At the time the annual convention used to take place in Adyar, Krishnamurti was delivering his lectures across the river. The TS convention programs are so scheduled so that the delegates can go and attend Krishnamurti's lectures. Usually all the delegates including most of the officers of TS Adyar will be attending Krishnamurti's lectures. With all the questions of freedom we discuss about, the fact is that large number of members of TS have attended his lectures and many more have read his books, viewed his Videos and listened to his audios. So no wonder that many theosophists may be putting into practice the ideas contained in his lectures etc.

Hi Cass
“Does this mean that TS Adyar is switching over to Krishnamurti's teachings?”

I don’t think so… However it is clear that Krishnamurti’s teachings are exerting an influence. I think works in previous years was extremely “metaphysical” or theoretical. So, people (no matter they were blavatskyan, leadbeaterian and so on) had theosophical knowledge but their attitudes were more or less “earthly”. Now, I think Adyar TS is tryingto promote a balance between philosophic-metaphysical work and psychologist-experimental work.
