Jerry,
Thanks for your reply and comments. I might comment based on my small 5
years of exposure to Television. I was Floor Director and Host Camera for 11
Shows twice monthly for 5 years at our Community Channel here. My observation of
the Hosts for these shows goes like this: they have a breifing 15 -30 minutes
prior to the Show where they chat with the Guest asking questions and
clearing the routine for the show. going in they are almost always entirely vacant of
personal knowledge of the guests field and afterwards they forget it entirely
and go on to the next Show. It is like some one erased the memory tape. they
seldom if ever watch the Show when it airs and are masters of practically
noting except their own primadonna ego.

Years ago when the Gulf War Illness appeared I got in contact with a
primary doctor(Dr. Garth Nickleson) who had developed a RX for treatment of it. I
went to all the Hosts for these Shows and implored them to schedule this Doctor
as a Guest or to do a show on his findings. Not one would show an interest
even though I provided them all with the Doctor's Information Breifing papers on
the Illness and it's Etiology, not even the Veterans Program I helped would
produce it. Responses like "Well, I don't know, I've been burnt before John, I
don't want to risk it." The bottom line is most are self engrossed in thier
own aura of Media Image and a overblown idea of their self significance.
They all had an excuse even though the Illness was a daily topic on Media
news then. When we went into Iraq I taped a contract Host for "F__" attempting to
appear like he was informing us all out here in the public and he says "Saudi
Arabia doesn't even have an Army" my mouth dropped open in amazement. I
thought "oh really? well then why did they purchase all those M1 Abrams A-2 Model
Main Battle Tanks when Chrysler couldn't effect a purchase order from the
Pentagon a few years ago?"

importance to our times, and that their overall positive influence has
been greatly underestimated.<<

Jerry, I would be interested if you might list for us what in particular
you consider important today in 2005 and how you think each item can be used
widely and publically.

As to War it is easy to accept a generality that seems to have easy
acceptance is the primary reason that promulgates a War but historians often find
analytic reasons that are significantly different than what aroused groups do
and say. I am old enough to remember WWII and the mile long O.D. Troop trains
crammed full of young men slowly creeping through my neighborhood leaving for
destinations and the Banner Flags hanging on practically every front door in the
general vicinity and on the way to school the same everywhere. I remember
Vietnam and Korea and Budapest, I listened to all their Radio Free Budapest
Broadcasts as I was then at Babenhausen Germany, We listened as they made their
last radio announcement, the Soviet Communist Socialists had returned into
Budapest and slaughtered 40,000 men, woman, and children ruthlessly. Later I helped a
Regular Hungarian Army Colonel get safely to the ferry for Dover and was with
him until he set foot on England. The fear in his eyes and the terror in his
heart I cannot describe, he first thought I was KGB.

Well, "no place" is a great definition for Utopia becuase no one has ever
found one.

I really think "Self-determined" is not genger specific, the Being has no
gender and lots of women are quite proud of their self determination as well as
men. How is monolithic gendered? Golda Mier and Indira Ghandi and Sen.
Fienstein and many others can be characterized as Leaders. There have been and still
are Matriarchal Societies. What if many centuries ago the Amazons had
conquered the world and stifled masculine dominance out of existance? What if Mohammed
had been a women?

Best regards,
John
