Re: Theos-World Re: Towards Occultism (AnandGholap.Net-Online Theosophy)

I will make an attempt at this.

About 7 years ago, before I started practicing occultism, I had many
preferences to foods I would enjoy. Particularly, I liked sweet
things. ice cream, candy, things like that. But after discipleship
began, especially, I lost my taste in food. I will still eat
practically anything, but prefer plain foods now. However, anything
too extravagant will cause some discomfort (sometimes I won't even be
able to swallow it) especially if it is unhealthy. But after a while
everything begins to seem dull. You still feel pain, emotion,
pleasure, but they are so dulled they don't seem influence you as
much. You become more centered, so to speak.

It's difficult to describe unless you experience it yourself. Even
though you still have these feelings to a certain degree, they don't
feel the same ever again. It has a purpose though; this is done so you
can perform your duties without being influenced by worldly things.
