Dear Mauri
Well I suppose a foot in the door of christendom, means 20 million more theosophists.

Cass

Anand, a couple of little books were

death, offering her thoughts about the

Cleather used to be a regular member of
the esoteric section headed by HBP.
Titles? I think one book was something
like THE GREAT BETRAYAL. They might be
available at your local TS library.

Not that Cleather's views about
"betrayal" in that context might not get
disputed by the Catholic Church, among
other things, eg, but ... Which reminds
me: there's a book called THE POPE'S
ARMADA, by Gordon Urquhart, about a
number of extreme right-wing, extremely
fundamentalist (I don't think I'm
exaggerating the "extreme" part),
dictatorial, totalitarian, brainwashing
and Pope John Paul II-approved cults.
Reading that book I couldn't help
wondering about what plans Besant
might've had in mind for the future of
her "Liberal Catholic Church" at the
same time that she was acting as the
head of the Theosophical Movement.

Speculatively,
Mauri
