I wonder if there are any math kings out there who could work out a time
that we could all be on line at the same time?
No matter what time we picked, somebody would be asleep. There are some sites out there that can tell you what time it is for anybody, but I don't think they'd help us figure out a time.

You could set up a survey with Yahoo giving every possible meeting time as a possible answer, and let people vote for as many or as few of the choices as they like, with the idea being that we'd try to use the time that got the most votes.

Of course, a person could vote for all 24 possibilities, but that would defeat the purpose. Of course, a person could vote for one period of the day, then if the election determined that it would happen at an inconvenient time, he could still attend (get up in the middle of the night or whatever).

I'm sure the moderator of this group can create such a survey, and set it so that everybody can see the results after they vote. (Of course, after the first person votes it won't be very valid, but the early voters could come back later to see how things are progressing.)

The trick with the survey would be to make sure that each answer choice gives enough examples so that people can figure out what the times are for them.

Example,

Midnight London, 7pm New York, 4pm California, etc

You could experiment with the Meeting Planner at the clock site I gave above
http://www.worldtimeserver.com/meeting-planner.aspx

and see what times come up as convenient, but I think the survey would be better, as some of us don't mind meeting when it's late evening.
