Actually there is more to it than that. In WW - II the just in time Pope 
was none other than Eugenio Pacelli Archebishop of Munich who some years before 
he became Pius XII was the Vatican Bag Man delivering suitcases of cash from 
the Vatican in the Residence there face to face with a smiling Hitler to 
finance his rise to Chancellorship of the Bundestag( at one time there were actual 
Photographs posted online of this meeting with Hitler and the suitcases of 
money ,I saw them, the website was since taken down). Cardinal Ratzinger was 
formerly the Cardinal of Munich and earlier an SS Hitler Youth. A While back I 
posted on this forum about Eugenio Pacelli and no one responded. Ho hum. By the 
way any one ever read the Treaty of Elysee' and then look at the map of Europe?
