Thanks, it's been awhile since I read about it. Do you know any details of even one of the strikes? Like was he standing on a somewhat insulated surface, wearing trainers (as I recall, that's UK for tennis shoes), etc???

Just think of all the ways that "smoking fags" can be translated (anything from "killing people" to "having a cigarette"). Some younger Americans on this list might not remember that years ago (my mother still remembers it, and she's approaching 84) when fags in the USA were still cigarettes, as they still are in the UK.)
