I had the same trouble with Theos-Talk via Yahoo and had to provide a
new password.
Does anyone know how this can happen?
Though I can't imagine them doing it, have you investigated whether someone at the moderator level was involved?

Moderators can unsubscribe people without passwords.

Perfect strangers would need either your password or a moderator's password to do it.

Be sure that your password is something that even your best friend, spouse, parent or child could not figure out. If someone close to you could guess what your password is within ten or twenty guesses, then a perfect stranger might be able to figure it out.

If you want a password that is almost impossible to guess, use both letters and numbers, where the numbers are NOT birthdays NOT identity numbers and NOT other numbers known to your family or friends. Intersperse the letters and numbers and perhaps even throw in some swear words (by this last, I mean throw in a few #&^%@ substitutes for the swearing.
