Thanks friend Mark
I am indeed looking for references too.
I am aware that there are lists elsewhere but in health, you know, we need good references, principally in this field that deals with energies and non-physical influences, where charlatanesque activities dwell so often!
Reiki is supposed to help healing and the latent healing powers to work better, unless the person has been incubating some illness and the reiki, as well as in homeopathy, the body gets ill in order to get cured later.
Strange? thatīs how it works...
And your Chi Kong, how do you practise, by personal/presence training , by manuals or by tapecassette/DVD?

I'm afraid I don't know anyone in Cali, but About.com has an index of
Reiki specialists:

http://healing.about.com/cs/reikidirectories/p/rk_ca.htm

That's the best I can do for you. They have more listings on the web
if you do a search, even just new practitioners which will sometimes
do it at a discounted rate, just to have the practical experience.

Reiki sometimes tends to make people sick after their first treatment
(they will often come down with a cold). This doesn't happen with
qigong, so maybe that is a better avenue?
