Re: Theos-World America,Australia,Azie,Afrika, what are their Qualities Worldwide?

Hey Christina,

Ease up a little. I didnt make the claim that Australia was the best place on earth, I said we think our beer, wine and cheese is the best.
All those little toys that NASA and everyone else has won't help the world one iota in a real crisis, except perhaps to warn everyone to run. Although they do not even have a good record on that one.
There are only 20 million of us here in the whole country, so comparatively speaking, even though we enjoy our cars, our contribution to the ozone layer is far less than over-populated countries, but we are doing our best. We switched to unleaded petrol about 10 years ago, we have a replanting system, whereby every tree that is lopped down is replaced with a new tree. Our minerals are imported to Europe and the World to keep them warm in their beds. Our steel is used to manufacture those ginormous cruise vessels that sail around the meditteranean and our uranium is sent to european agents who resell it on to the middle east dictators. So yes we will share in that karma. We have the cleanest drinking water in the world, our farmers are starting to turn organic and at least we don't have the fall out on our soil, from chenoyble that Europe will be coping with for another 100 years. Our nuclear power stations are located away from the populace, in fact I am not even sure if we
have any.

Europe is an education for Aussies because our education system is built on the historical and literal authors who lived in and wrote about Europe 2000 years ago. Aussies love Europe but wouldnt want to live there. The French don't like the English or the Portuguese, The Italians dont like the Greeks, The Greeks dont like the albanians or the Russians who have recently begun to immigrate to Greece. The English dont like the Jamaicans, the portuguese dont like the spanish, the list goes on and on.

We do not have any class system so even the little aussie battler can buy his own home. The Government provide them with $24,000 to enable them to purchase their little part of paradise. How many people in Europe have their own homes? my understanding is that those that do own homes are mostly inherited. We have a medical system that covers everyone, and it is free. Our specialists work out of our private and public health system through our hospitals. My mother was in hospital many many times and her hospital costs were well over $50,000, all subsidised by the government. Our aged have subsidised drugs for their conditions making it affordable for them to have the best medicines available and also the best specialists and surgeons work on both the rich and the poor. Does your government take care of your aged this well?

Per head of population Aussies contributed more than any European or American to the Tsunami appeal.

What are we doing about the Ozone? getting skin cancer because all the other billions of people in the world have contributed their polution to it. Wait until the Chinese all have a family wagon outside, and that day is not far off, then people will need to walk around in asbestos suits to protect them from the sun.

Our tax money supports Indonesia, New Guinea, the Pacific Islands etc etc and our soldiers fight other people's battles and lose their lives to protect other people from the dictators they put in power. Not only do we put money into these countries but we send our young professionals to work as volunteers. Weren't the Australians the first to go into Indonesia after the Tsunami? Our aid was there before yours even left the ground.

The UN is a farce and anyone supporting it is throwing good money after bad. NATO does far more than the UN.

Our athletes compete with and beat others with far greater populations. This is an indication of their discipline and commitment to being the best they can be. Yes, we love our sport, but do you ever hear of a riot over one of our football matches, or aussie thugs in the street getting into fights because their team lost? We have learnt to respect our competitors and take losing with dignity, albeit, remorse.

And if you want to have a go at aussies, well go ahead, we can take it. What does your posting say about what your nationalism - to criticize others?

Sorry Christina, you lost me.

Cass

I think the best is to make effort in working together for a better
world, not only America have its problems, they also have NASA and
that will help everyone on this Earth from disasters, so that costs a
lot of money, and never forget the computer, mathem machines and
others comming from the work NASA does.
So why Cass you need to say you have all the best in your country?
What does Australie do on its OZON problem? Where that is comming
from? And WHY Europe is an educational experience? How daring you!!!

We also Participate in NASA, gives our tax- money to Arika,India and
more of the countries needs help. What does Austalia do On that?
Better enjoy their sports?

Als the best for seeing this, ChristinaTL
