Re: Theos-World abortion

As an occultist, I believe that killing of any kind is wrong.

There are different versions of the blank-slate theory; some believe
that the soul itself is neutral, while others believe the physical
brain is neutral to begin with, then influenced by external events
(e.g., traumatic experiences or great contentment during the course of
their lives).

I believe in a combination of the two. The soul has less influence on
the mind than immediate environmental influences. Hence, people will
mostly imitate behavior around them because it is the stronger
influence. But, in some cases where the soul has a strong nexus to the
brain, they will exhibit much different behavior (as seen in child
prodigies that live in run-down or seemingly "bad" environments). As a
result, people who are mentally gifted, so to speak, are not as
influenced by their surroundings.

One ofthe topics discussed in the book was why the crime rate dropped during the1990's. While some of the reasons given by people were partially correct, the biggest reason, he discovered, was abortion. Especially affected werethe unmarried, teenage or poor and sometimes all three. He tested his theory and it was generally born out.
