Re: Dr. Tillett's Ecclesiastic Background

Pedro must be thanked for the interesting information.

Ever since Tillett published his book on CWL, I was never seen this info mentioned in this or other theosophical forums. This is not the first time that through Internet I become aware of info that normally one is unaware through other normal channels such as printed books. If my memory serves right, I don't recall this fact is mentioned in his book on CWL.

Another side observation. In many cases one generally includes ones academic titles with their names, one wonders why some times people don't add their ecclesiastic titles. Probably mentioning both may be more impressive.

Few of his readers perhaps know that Dr Tillet was a Clergy in Minor
Orders (Cleric) in the Australian Province of the LCC for several
years and contributed articles to its magazine ("Communion"). In view
of his opinion expressed above, it is interesting to note that works
by two past Presiding Bishops of the Church do mention Neo-Platonism,
Clement of Alexandria and Origen as relevant to the Church's theology.
