If you look at the writings of HPB, you will see there is no emphasis on rituals with elaborate regalia. Influence of ritual side on the members of TS started after HPB's time. The regalia and the rituals associated with it may be very impressive and masses have been taken by them and that is ok. If something makes people feel good just leave them alone. I do not know much of history behind Christianity. But one thing is I have never seen Lord Jesus Christ depicted in a regalia of a priest, bishop, cardinal or Pope. So it appears that these are later creations that the masses have accepted. I wonder if any serious student who is trying to understand what HPB gave to the world and what was given to the world in the ML to APS, will make much of progress in his understanding of theosophy throught the regalia and rituals.

Mosques seem to have been not mentioned perhaps because they don't have regalia and pompous rituals to keep the masses happy.
