Re: Theos-World Re: Leadbeater in Sydney, 2005

I just joined this forum and here's my two cents worth:

The tragedy and 90% of problems of Theosophical Society last century was that AB (while being a great lady, no doubt) was under a very damaging influence by Leadbeater for too long.

The best hope for revival is to go back to the original sources: The Mahatma Letters and HPB writings and to the original mission that is the brotherhood of humanity. Any insult to Blavatsky's heritage is an insult to the Mahatmas and Chelas who used her body to help humanity move to the next stage of evolution.
Mahatmas will not cooperate with those who make it a habit to insult them or those who tolerate it (sins of commission and omission).

Pedro,

If Justice Bakewell had condemned him, Leadbeater would have been
sent to prison, Annie Besant would certainly have resigned as
President of the TS, the World Teacher circus would have come to an
end, Bertram Keightley would have been elected President of the
Adyar TS and would have steered it into pro-Blavatsky lines and
Anand would probably be a happy member of ULT in Mumbai!
If any pro-Blavatsky leader had come then TS might have sunk by this
time because very few people would have appreciated Theosophy as given
by Blavatsky. Fact is Annie Besant and Leadbeater made TS
internationally reputed organization and Blavatsky was founder of it.
This gave Blavatsky some fame.
If Besant and Leadbeater were not there, we would not have heard about
TS and 95 percent members including you and mean would not have joined
any organization calling itself Theosophical.
