Thesis on the web

Why isn't my thesis on Leadbeater available on the web?
First reason: I do not have it an an accessible electronic version - it was
written on a now very outdated Apple computer with (now) redundant software. If
anyone wants to scan it for a reputable web site I'd be prepared to consider the
same proposal as proposed for "The Elder Brother", giving copyright permission
to post without charge. I have, by the way, received a proposal for making "The
Elder Brother" available on the web and, subject to some protections about
misuse, intend to approve it.
Second reason: since completing the thesis my research on Leadbeater continued
(albeit on and off) and I now have about another volume of updates and
additions which should be included. If I had an electronic version, I could do
this easily. I have not found anything I need to correct, but there is
additional material which is important (e.g. from the UK census records).
I have had a number of offers to publish the thesis (although obviously it would
hardly be a commercial proposition) and have not committed to them for the two
reasons given above. The thesis is, however, available through a dissertation
publication company (from whom I receive no payments at all).
If someone wants to make the thesis available to me in electronic form, I am
happy to update it for publication (electronically or in hard copy). I would
give permission for publication without fee until and unless the publisher made
a profit (and I'd assume that would be never!) when I would expect to receive
standard royalty rates.
Unfortunately, I do not have the time to scan the thesis, and the cost of having
it done commercially is not something I'm prepared to cover.

Dr Gregory Tillett
