Re: Bart on FEMA and the News Channels

Bart,

Let me try to get this straight....

Are you telling me that it is NOT allowed by law for the
Director of FEMA to call the Governor of Louisiana and ask
if she wants them to go in and assist the people at the
Superdome?

Or for several high level FEMA officials to go to see the
Governor and tell their concerns about the developing
crisis at the Superdome?

Are you telling me that if you were the Director of FEMA
you wouldn't want to call the Governor and have a frank
discussion about what appears to be the developing crisis
at the Superdome?

I was given the impression more than once both by the words of both
the FEMA director and the Louisiana governor that they and their
offices were working in close conjunction with each other.

Furthermore, are you telling us that the Louisiana governor didn't
request FEMA to come in to assist with the mess in Louisiana?

Daniel
