Trans Himalayan esoteric doctrine

I've just put a couple of quotes below from the secret doctrine where HPB mentions the Cis
or Trans Himalayan esoteric doctrine.
It seems the teachings given in the secret doctrine and the Mahatma lettersare from this
particular tradition.

Members of the Society do not have to hold to this or any other tradition they don't have
to accept the idea of "Masters" or "mahatmas" or any teaching but simply bein sympathy
with the 3 objects.

To suggest the Adepts did not belong to any tradition seems to me to be unfounded and
contrary to what is clearly stated in the writings of both HPB and her teachers.

The society on the other hand is not part of any particular tradition but is there to promote
the 3 objects.
The writings of HPB merely present the perspective of a particular tradition members may
accept, reject or be completely indifferent towards according to there own individual
journey and what particular perspective they find themselves drawn towards.

This is simply put how I see the relationship of HPB's writings to that of the Society.

"we hold in this work to the "time-honoured" classification of the trans-Himalayan "Arhat
Esoteric School."

Secret Doctrine v.2 636
"The "sevenfold classification" in the esoteric system has never been claimed (to the
writer's knowledge) by any one belonging to it, as "the peculiar property of the Trans-
Himalayan esoteric doctrine"; but only as having survived in that old school alone. It is no
more the property of the trans, than it is of the cis-Himalayan esoteric doctrine, but is
simply the common inheritance of all such schools, left to the sages of theFifth Root Race
by the great Siddhas** of the Fourth."

Secret Doctrine v. 2 p.602

"Cis-Himalayan Occultism with its sevening, and because of such sevening, must be
regarded as the most ancient, the original of all. It is opposed by some fragments left by
Neo-Platonists; and the admirers of the latter, who hardly understand what they defend,
say to us: "See, your forerunners believed only in triple man, composed of

others, but simply because they were the primitive or primordial houses of the seven

the fact of these seven alone being sacred.

Secret Doctrine v.2 p.574

"In man as in nature, it is, according to the cis-Himalayan esoteric philosophy (which is
that of the original Manu Cosmogony), the septenary division that is intended by Nature
herself."
