I was wondering where this boy came from. He didn't just spring 'minerva like" into the cavity of the tree. Where has he been for the past 12 years or so, where are his parents, etc. Others are saying that he is the reincarnated Buddha, I find this curious, especially amongst Theosophists, as we have been told that this will not occur. It leaves me thinking that those desiring a messiah are simply projecting this desire through their imagination.
HPB spoke of many fakirs in India, perhaps he is the latest in a long line.

Part of the tradition is that such a retirement is designed to get away from
people, not to become a carnival attraction. That is really what makes me
so suspicious about this.

There are a lot of "holy men" in that part of the world who perform great
feats of mortification so people will see how holy they are but the real ones
are the ones no one ever hears about.
