 Dear Leon
You are quite right, I of course, missed the most important part of the sentence, "the astral monad". Of course, after the decay of the astral body, it returns to the astral whole, and the spiritual monad clothes itself innew astral matter for its return, after 1500 years of assimilation in devachan.

Off topic, but have heard an interesting theory that 2012 as follows.
I am curious as to why there has been no discussion on the current situation in the world by theosophists. According to HPB the time frame is rightfor great changes in the world.

You will never be the same once your hypothalamus secretion starts. Have you ever ingested a psychedelic? How would you like to live, balancing thatreality, twenty-four hours a day? It wouldn’t work; it would be entirelytoo confusing. It is fine for what is called a trip. It is fine for a journey into learning – into the shamanic, mysterious, Living Library realms. However it certainly is not something you want for breakfast every day. The rest of the nervous system is not in sync with that awareness. When you take what is called a trip, it is exactly that – like going to the countryor to the shore for the weekend. You go, you experience it, and then you come back and contemplate it.
Your hypothalamus is going to move you to a new shoreline of your being, a new domain that will be chemically induced. This is what the endocrine system does. It introduces various chemicals into your body without you taking anything – without you ingesting any substance at all. The chemicals willsimply begin to secrete themselves and influence the very way that you perceive and interpret reality.
Your restored hypothalamus will take you on a journey, and you will change everything so that you will be happy to dwell there. You will not want to dwell in the old place. It will be as if you move to a new planet without leaving earth. It will be a splitting of your world. Earth and Earths realityin the Living Library will change before your eyes because the chemicals that will be secreted from the hypothalamus will give you a new interpretation if reality.
This you are not prepared for yet, not anywhere near it. First you must convince yourself that you are loved and that you are the source of love. You must maintain a consistent feeling of this before you can begin the subtle changes in your endocrine system that will prepare you for the awakening ofyour hypothalamus. We suggest that this will happen in increments between 1999 and 2009, a ten-year period."

In the Hopi ceremony called Wuwuchim, which seems to definitely be connected with a measuring of precession (see Beyond 2012 p.31-32), initiates undergo a "spiritual rebirth", and Galactic Alignment is the rebirth of the solar deity Hunahpu (and Osiris, according to Rush Allen). The snake, a widely-used symbol in Mesoamerica, is the symbol of rebirth, with its skin-shedding; could this rebirth process perhaps include a re-intergation of past lives?

Perhaps we are confusing the Astral monad or lower self with the Spiritual
monad or higher self? HPB makes it very clear that the spiritual monad
reincarnates as a new lower self on the same globe that it made all its previous
karma. If not, why would HPB teach that the average cycle of reincarnation is
1500 years -- in a new culture or civilization, perhaps, but not on a new
globe, apparently? It's obvious that the Astral monad dies eventually just like
its physical counterpart. The spiritual monad, however, never leaves its
present cycle of necessity -- except when the cycle ends, and a new cycle begins.
This, of course, refers to yuga, manvantara, as well as global cycles.
