Who censeored Olcott's "People from the Other World"?

I have ordered from Kessinger Publishing the reprint of Olcott's "People from the Other World".
I wanted to study the chapter about HPB and looked into the TOC.
On p. xiv, ch. XVIII, I find about HPB the entry: "A Russian xxxxx", while xxxx is my replacement for a black beam.

Who has censored this entry in the Kessinger reprint?
And why?

Has anybody the first edition of the "People" and can look after it which word is censored?
Thanks

Frank
