After Leadbeater's Fancies -- What?

Friends,

Konstantin, in an interesting dialogue with Paul Johnson, mentions C. W. Leadbeater.

Indeed, Leadbeater's ideas and books are responsible, even now, for the structure of the Adyar TS.

CWL wote absurds for decades --- with the wild excuse of being clairvoyant.

If you want I can bring some of thesefancies here. I have them all mapped out bibliographically.

They were the subject of a correspondence between me and Joy Mills in 1999-2000, in which
Joy did what she could not avoid doing. She at least half-confirmed that in her view CWL's books are absurd. She admitted she considered his books "science-fiction", but recommended ... that I remained in silence about those PUBLIC nonsenses!

Mr. Leadbeater described in details the "physical life in Mars", in his time. He gave some of the details about physical life in Mercury.

He announced that Julius Caeser and the Christ would both come back, eliminate all wars and establish universal peace on earth during the second half of the 20th century.

Krishnamurti, of course, was to be the vehicle for the Neotheosophical Christ imagined by CWL.

All Leadbeaterian nonsenses have been carefully removed from his books, and several books have simply been abandoned, as time came to show they were really absurd.

This has been the "editorial" work of several TPHs (Theosophical Publishing Houses), along the decades.

And now the USA TPH superates itself by adopting as true... the old 19th century libels against HPB.

The "clairvoyant" Leadbeater is the one who created the ritualistic power-structure which is beneath the façade of liberty of thought in the Adyar TS.

This ritualistic power-structure is now void of content or even of fancies. People are about to open their eyes. Right now, it is hard to find any Adyar theosophist who has a bright vision about the future of the Leadbeaterian movement. Et pour cause. And there are reasons for that.

Each crisis brings several opportunities. The movement is in a crisis now, and it will most likely take advantage of the opportunities available and CHANGE for the better in the years ahead.

It will be easier than appearances suggest. I am already thinking I see the first signs of a new morning to arrive. Venus, HPB's lightbearer, the star of the morning, seems to be announcing better days for us poor students and aspirants, while humankind's karma accelerates into new pathways too.

I guess Bruce MacDonald, the editor of FOHAT magazine, has mentioned something of it a couple of days ago, didn't he?

Best regards, Carlos.

The answer is quite simple. If Johnson's allegations were true, it
would mean that CWL had false visions while HPB was simply
lying! The latter accusation is much worse. In this case CWL and
his followers can be regarded as in some extent victims who
believed to the myths initially invented by HPB.
