Hauw: Lay Discipleship Now?

Dear Hauw,

The inner circles in existence include aspirants to discipleship, with no claims as to occult status like discipleship and so on.

Such claims, as to Adyar Society, have been quietly abandoned from N. Sri Rams's time, in the
early 1950s.

Thus ended the period of official and crazy fancies inaugurated after HPB left her physical body.

Also in the Adyar Society, Geoffrey Hodson claimed (yet not in a noisy way) to be in direct contact with the Masters, very much in the CWL's fancy tradition. But it was no too expressive internationally. Hodson died in the late 1980s.

As long as I know, the Esoteric School of the Pasadena TS was dissolved by mid-century.

Apart from any physical plane offices or groups, the true esoteric school has existed for thousands of years. It never closes.

One's Monad, Atma-Buddhi, Buddhi-Manas, Higher Self can have severral forms of contact with it, sometimes quite unconsciously, as was the classical case of D.M. Bennett, which is commented by the Mahatmas in their Letters to Sinnett.

As one Master wrote (and I quote the idea, not the words): "every small light in the dark valley is easily seen from the white snow-covered peak of the mountain..."

So dropping pseudol-theosophical fancies and studying real theosophy can reveal a true opportunity before eranest students.

Best regards, Carlos Cardoso Aveline

It's news to me.
