Dear Krishtar,

I have no trouble with understanding "dimension" for globe.  For race, I 
prefer evolutionary period.  For instance this planet (4th round Globe D 
Earth) is in its fifth evolutionary period.  My understanding is that 
the terms race and globe were coined by A.P. Sinnett during the course 
of his correspondence with the Mahatmas.  They just uncritically made 
use of his suggested terms, and HPB did the same.  At the time, the word 
"race" was not so clearly defined among anthropologists, thus the racist 
connotations were not so evident.  In the 20th century, it took on the 
familiar racist connotations.  More recently, anthropologists have 
tended to drop the term altogether.  As an anthropology professor once 
told me: "There is only one race: the human race."  Physically, we are 
in the fifth root race.  Developmentally, we seem to be running behind. 
SD readers often get confused about HPB's language regarding races.  One 
of the problems is that they need to keep in mind when HPB is writing 
from the perspective of the physical, intellectual or monadic lines of 
evolution.  HPB qualifies this key idea in the SD on pg. 181 of vol. 1.
