HPB and the WW II

Dear Iain,

Thanks a lot.

This is what I know for sure -- May 8th -- but now that it has been questioned I would like to have harder and more formal evidences. Those who have them, if possible, send them, please.

Sorry to interject but certainly VE day(Victory in Europe) was May 8th the
end of the WWII was VJ day in August(Victory in Japan)
