Besant and Bruno

Chuck,

Sorry, I have to disagree with all due respect.

Besant's best one is, by far, her declaring that she had attained Adepthood,
or fifth great initiation, but that people could treat her in the same way as before...

Carlos.

I've heard that one before. It's a good comeback to folks who claim to have
been somewhat famous in a past life by way of compensating for being a
nothing in this one.

My personal favorite was when Annie Besant claimed to be a reincarnation of
both Francis Bacon and Giordano Bruno, forgetting that they lived at the same
time. Which may explain why she was always so confused about everything.
