It's usually most effective to pose such statements directly to the people that you are labeling, instead of doing it from five miles away. That way you might get a response directly from them. If you're going to present a case against someone, you should let them know about it, within their own earshot. As far as evidence is concerned, you presented the original assertion, so I'll lay the burden of evidence on you. Your turn.

====
I see your concern. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Your point is well taken that I should not call people cowards out of earshot. Here is my solution. See if it satisfies your sense of justice and fair play. I am including theos-talk as an addressee on this message. This way, those who are in that "many" about whom I was referring can see that I called them cowards. They can also see that you have taken me to task for calling them that behind their backs and that you have stood up for them. If they have an opinion on my characterization of them, they can come to theos_fight to discuss it. Overt name-calling is not the type of activity that is appropriate for theos-talk, so Vince, when you respond again, let's bring the discussion back to theos-fight where it belongs.

If so, then I will gladly change my opinion and retract my statement.
====

I'm not one to accept retractions. Amendments are much more functional. No erasers, please.

====

ROFL. Name calling is permitted here. Perhaps you would like to
call
me a name now just to see how I will respond? Go ahead. Your cleverness will make you feel better and I will not care.
====

You seem to be already classing me amongst a group of namecallers. Perhaps simply a projection on your part. Have I ever called you or anyone a name? And in what way do you consider 'name-calling' to be 'clever'? Is 'cleverness' bad? And if so, then what of name-
calling? Is it bad, good, neutral? It is permitted here, after all. But isn't name-calling merely 'clever'? Such as calling a group of people 'cowards' beyond their immediate earshot.

I think that the last line above is your chief concern, so hopefully by including that group of people in immediate earshot, I have remedied the situation to your satisfaction.

====
Yes, it seems to occur in all groups which I have been associated
with.
====

However, not always endorsed, as it seems to be here by your example.

====

Yes it sounds a little bit like entrapment. Is it really though?
====

You tell me.

====

After all, were you trapped into coming here?
====

Actually, 'trapping' someone and 'entrapping' someone are two different things. That's a 'clever' bait and switch, though. Good try.

But aren't you speaking for them in this assessment? What do

Many will rationalize how silly and backward it is to have a
forum
dedicated to open theosophical combat and then they will
continue
about
their daily lives filled with cheap shots, innuendo, name
calling,
and
backstabbing, all under the guise of universal brotherhood.

Sort of like calling people cowards? lolol

However, after the first blood-letting here, we may see the
stadium
seats filling with gawking on-lookers who are attracted to the
gore.
They may be afraid to enter the fighting arena, but they will
sit
in the
stands booing and hissing in judgment.

Hasn't this already occured at Theos-talk? Plus, it sounds a
little
bit like entrapment, doesn't it?
