THE "COMMITTEE"

Daniel,

After making propaganda of Rev. Patterson earlier today, you defending Dara Eklund, though somewhat a funny action, can't help her too much!

Yet I have no personal criticism with regard to any members of the "Algeo Committee", as Committee Members.

And everyone knows Dara Eklund deserves -- and receives -- admiration from every quarters and from everyone for her longstanding, sincere and deep dedication to the Cause.

As to Nicholas Weeks, equally sincere, he even tried to stop John Algeo from slandering. Algeo did not want to hear Nicholas' early warning, as Dara Eklund told me in our correspondence over the issue, in 2004.

Let's see what Patrick Deveney does in the second volume of HPB Letters. He may improve things.

I am discussing an editorial line -- not individualsin themselves.

As a whole the Algeo "Committee" failed to prevent certain things -- and G. Tillett called it "a puppett Committee" for his own reasons, which you may understand or not.

Tillett's testimony may be more correct or less so -- yet it should be taken into consideration. And Paul Johnson's. And Radha Burnier's. Not to mention HPB students ones.

The emerging perception is -- the USA TPH Ethics sometimes calls our attention for its remarkable absence. I sincerely hope it gets better soon.

Regards, Carlos Cardoso Aveline.
