Iverson Harris on Misrepresentations
regarding Mrs. Katherine Tingley

In 1971 Iverson L. Harris organized Point Loma
Publications, Inc. of San Diego California. He
served as President of this Theosophical publishing
company for a number of years.

During the course of his distinguished Theosophical
career, Mr. Harris had been Mrs. Tingley's traveling
secretary and later held several offices in the Point
Loma Theosophical Society.

Having personally known Mrs. Tingley for several decades,
he was in a good position to later refute some of the
"distortions, misrepresentations and falsehoods frequently
promulgated" against Mrs. Tingley, etc.

Below is a link to one of his articles showing that some
of the statements made by various ULT associates (even on
Theos-Talk) should not be so readily accepted without further
consideration and careful study:

by Iverson L. Harris
[Reprinted from The Eclectic Theosophist, Nov. 15, 1976, pp. 2-3.]

"...none but the logician, the investigator, the dauntless
explorer should meddle with books like this. Such delvers
after truth have the courage of their opinions."
H.P. Blavatsky

"...Contrast alone can enable us to appreciate things at
their right value; and unless a judge compares notes and
hears both sides he can hardly come to a correct decision."
H.P. Blavatsky

"...in the world mental as in the world spiritual each man
must progress by his own efforts. The writer cannot do the
reader's thinking for him, nor would the latter be any the
better off if such vicarious thought were possible..."
