HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI

Friends,

August 6 is the anniversary of the Hiroshima nuclear bombing in 1945.

I recently saw an interview in "The History Channel" with Robert MacNamara.

He shows that in the few days before the nuclear bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (this one in August 9), several Japanese cities had been entirely destroyed through conventional bombs. With similar results to those of Hiroshima, -- except for the radiactive consequences.

It was only after Nagasaki nuclear bomb that Japan surrendered.

Up to 1945, Japan was one of the most ferocious nations. It now has reached another level, a level which I hope can be reached by all of human kind, without the need for a great sea of horror.

Best regards, Carlos.
