I've heard this argument but -in one sense - it is kind of
counterproductive. Not all queers are wunderkind or exceptional or
should be expected to be so. That sort of thing is a real double-
edged sword.
The common-or-garden homosexual person is just an average bod, no more,
no less. Surprising, if that's the world, for his or her absolute
ordinariness.
